Repro Retro Pantsuit
Gray Pantsuit
Shiny silk-like dark gray variegated woven fabric with 1960s styling, although it's probably from the 1980s because of the waistband feature of the pants, i.e., the waist band buttons in the front, creating pockets, and then it goes through two belt loops in back and buttons. Very interesting detail. The fabric is novel as well and we can't specify its content. Jacket is labeled “Poppa’s Place, Designed by Leonardi.” Matching pants (not pictured) are labeled "Happy Legs." Bolero top is unfitted, but bust is about 34”; three-quarter-length sleeves with buttoned cuffs are 16” from shoulder seam; 14”across back; 18” long from shoulder seam. Pants has side pockets and measures: W = 24"'; H = 36"; length = 39.5"; 7" nylon side zipper. Excellent condition.

Striking Vintage Suit
It’s refreshing to come across a vintage suit sized for a normal woman. This one is probably because the normal woman made it for herself. Skirt measures: waist=33”, hips=44”; metal side zipper=7”, Jacket measures: bust 39” possibly 40”; dolman sleeves are either 22” or 16” depending on whether you measure them from the collar or a point close to the shoulder. They are three-quarter length with a 1.5” cuff. Jacket is fitted at waist at about 35.5”. In back the jacket has a little flounce reminiscent of the forties.

Marilyn Monroe Dress
Stunning, handmade dress features detailed french blue lace over flesh-colored nylon taffeta and net lining. V-neck in front and back. Measures B=34”; W=varies, see below; H=full, length from waist to hem about 27’; across back from 14-15”; and probably about 16.5” from “shoulder” to waist. There’s a bit of give and take with the measurements because of the wide cummerbund treatment at the waist. At the sides, the cummerbund is about 4.5". In the middle, it's about 5". The waist measurement at the bottom of the cummerbund is about 24" and at the top, about 27". Back metal zipper is about 9” long. Good condition, some tears of the lace on the bodice, one about 1.25” across in the back and some under the arms. One tear under the right arm probably should be repaired. There's about a half-inch tear on the front of the skirt below the waist. The good news is that there’s netting under the lace so the tears aren’t deadly. Minor small stains on the lining. Price reflects condition. Not to worry, though, because the dress is so beautiful that it is easy to overlook its flaws.
